À 35 ans, Guillaume Castel est déjà reconnu comme l’un des plus importants sculpteurs français. Il expose ses œuvres au jardin des Tuileries, à l’occasion de Jardins, Jardin.
La manifestation regroupe des paysagistes, des pépiniéristes et des horticulteurs de renom. Elle promeut l’excellence et l’innovation. Jardins, Jardin a invité le jeune sculpteur breton à l’entrée de la manifestation. Un paysagiste a aussi composé un jardin, La Forêt transfigurée, autour de sa série Cocd’O.
Guillaume Castel est un sculpteur de paysages. Il puise son inspiration dans son pays natal, la baie de Morlaix où il vit et travaille. Le sculpteur privilégie des matériaux bruts, bois, acier, béton, pour évoquer la Nature, élégante et fragile. Il oppose des couleurs vives, un noir profond ou un blanc pur à des faces laissées brutes, rouillées ou polies.

The show presents a large group of famous landscapers, nursery owners and horticulturists. Its goal is to promote excellence and innovation. Jardins, Jardin invited the young sculptor from Brittany at the entrance of the show. A landscaper also created a garden, The Transfigured Forest, especially for his series Cocd’O.
Guillaume Castel sculpts landscapes. His inspiration derives from his home region, the bay of Morlaix where he lives and works. The sculptor uses raw materials such as steel, concrete and wood to evoke Nature in its elegance and fragility. He often opposes bright colours, a deep black or a pure white to raw facets, rusty or polished.
